World Social Work Day

Today I attended a national social work day event, this years theme was ‘Promoting the Importance of Human Relationships’. A topic so relevant today in our current climate of fear, hostility and political turbulence. The keynote speaker was founder and CEO of the...

My time at The Therapy Hub was an incredible journey that boosted my self-worth and made me feel genuinely valued by an employer who prioritised my well-being. Assisting dedicated clinicians in improving the lives of others was a privilege and truly fulfilling.

Bridgette

Former Practice Manager

I have worked with The Therapy Hub for three years and have found it to be a fun, supportive and inclusive place to work! The space we work from is large and colourful, and within the team there is a love of learning, collaboration and diversity (and dogs!). I have always felt supported to pursue my interests and the leadership have always provided opportunities to see the clients best suited to my practice and skill set. They are organised and helpful and always so supportive!
Kathryn Eberly

Accredited Mental Health Social Worker and Family Therapist

I’ve been with the Therapy Hub for over three years now! It is my first job in private practice as a psychologist, and TTH has been a wonderful home to learn the ropes and develop as a clinician.

Marie is a very supportive director, and I’ve always been encouraged to maintain a caseload that matches my skill-set, preferences, passions and energy levels without pressure to work beyond my capacity.

Early career psychology can be a recipe for burn out so having this support and encouragement has been invaluable. I love working at a clinic that is inclusive, affirming and values aligned, with a kind and like-minded team.

Madeleine Bourke - Ibbs

Clinical Psychologist

I am in my 1st year of working at The Therapy Hub with plans to continue and looking forward to many more years here. Before joining, my experience was mainly in schools and private practice settings. The transition into private practice at The Therapy Hub has been rewarding and supportive, and I felt encouraged and mentored through this by the leadership team.

The support I received in my first year built my confidence, expanded my skills and helped me grow clinically.

I enjoy working alongside supportive and passionate colleagues who share a commitment to best practice and trauma-informed care.

I have learnt a huge amount from supervision, exposure to new therapeutic approaches, and how to better balance my clinical work across settings, and I am very grateful for the opportunity to be part of The Therapy Hub team.

Edy

Psychologist

I am in my fourth year of working at The Therapy Hub, and I plan to continue into 2026 and beyond. Before joining, my main experience was in school settings, where I worked for over 15 years, and I had just begun exploring private practice in late 2019. The transition into private practice was initially a learning curve, as it felt different from school-based work. One of the most significant differences I noticed was the level of engagement—parents, families, and clients attending therapy were generally more willing to participate and engage compared to school environments. Through this transition, I felt genuinely supported and mentored by Marie and the leadership team, whose guidance, encouragement, and willingness to answer questions made all the difference.

The support I received in my first year helped me grow in confidence, refine my skills, and overcome moments of imposter syndrome. Establishing clear routines—such as how I approach and structure my first sessions—gave me a sense of stability and confidence in my practice.

I enjoy working alongside passionate colleagues who share a commitment to supporting young people in their wellbeing journeys. Although we often work on different days, the team is approachable, supportive, and dedicated, which fosters a positive sense of belonging.

Over time, I have learned a great deal—from supervision and ongoing professional development to new systems like Halaxy, which has become an invaluable tool in my practice. I am particularly grateful to Marie for creating a space where practitioners can learn, grow, and provide meaningful services to the community. I feel privileged to be part of The Therapy Hub team and would highly recommend it to others.
