As an experienced social worker, I have had many different roles over the course of my career, and some aspects I enjoyed more than others! Over the past few years I have specialised into therapeutic work, and when I realised that Private Practice was an option for Social Workers like me, I made the jump and have not looked back.
Moving into Private Practice has given me so much flexibility, and opportunities to do a range of different things I enjoy. I deliver training, run reflective sessions with professional teams, do case consultations, and provide direct clinical therapy with individuals and families. Every day looks a bit different, but I choose the hours that suit me, and have school holidays off.
At the Therapy Hub I have access to great supervision, where I can discuss tricky cases and develop my practice skills further. I am also able to connect with a team of like-minded professionals who are all doing what they love. This keeps me connected and challenged in my work, which helps to maintain a sense of enthusiasm and purpose.
